I have no love for Don King but I believe this is true. Everytime before this when he claimed he had a fighter under contract, he did. And please don't forget the wonderful PPV undercards he put on his biggest bills. I mean, we saw James Toney vs. Michael McCallum (twice), Maurice Blocker vs. Luis Garcia (who both went on to get KO's by Triniday early) and even Simon Brown vs. Maurice Blocker (and another SB fight I cannot remember right off hand) on an undercard? Those were big fights in their day and those kiinda fights would be unheard of today as lead in bouts to big PPV events.Comment
