That's not true, from what I heard. I don't want to say too much but let's just say, Clottey had a lot of excuses for not making the Williams fight.

Clottey was set to fight Quintana on the Pavlik-Williams card 12/5, but that fight got cancelled along with the main event. It was no fault of Clottey.

Williams offered him a lot of money to fight, and Clottey turned it down and said he wanted more.

Imdazed, you know I am a Clottey fan, but he is just looking like a hypocrite. He didn't even beat Cotto or Margarito, his biggest win is against Judah. Williams beat Margarito and holds a win win over right Wright, who was passed his best, but it's still a solid win.

He is really fucking up this time.

Like every other fighter (including Paul Williams), Clottey's goal is to make big money. I knew he would have a change of heart once he fought Cotto and got some props. He knew all he had to do was just look good, not really win (he even said this!). And now you see him cherry picking.
