I heard it as -160 Pacquaio and +120 Mayweather from a close connect. Wherever the money goes dictates the line.
Pacquiao -125, mayweather -105

I disagree with all of you. I said the whole time that Pac will be the favorite and I think it will stay that way. Remember, this isnt about Vegas or boxing insiders. Most money will be bet by mainstream people and they love guys who are amazing like Pac and knock guys out. If the casual fan watches Pac fight and then watches Floyd fight, they will automaticaly come away with thinking that Pac will destroy Floyd. Thats why I think Pac will be the favorite. If it was up to Vegas on its own or boxing people then Floyd will probably be the favrorite but alot of mainstream people will bet on this fight and alot of them will think that Pac will kill Floyd just from what they see. They look at Pac like another TysonComment

that's a good point---how much are you betting on the fight?Comment

For those of you who dont know how ******** works, Ill try to break it down. You basically base everything off of $100 since its a nice even number. If you see something saying "even" then that means you have to bet 100 to win 100. If you see a "plus" sign like a +105 then that means if you bet 100 then you will win 105. If you see a "minus" sign like -105 then that means you have to bet 105 to win 100. Get it?
If Floyd was fighting someone like Gatti you might see it say Floyd -425 and Gatti +380. Meaning you have to bet $425 on Floyd just to win $100 but you can bet $100 on Gatti and win $380.
Therfore in this case of Pac -125 and Floyd -105 means that you have to bet $125 on Pac just to win 100 and you have to bet $105 on Floyd just to win 100. There both so good that both are in the negatives. That doesnt ususally happened but in this case it is since both are so good but Pac is still the favorite since you have to bet more on him to winLast edited by DLT; 11-23-2009, 09:07 PM.Comment

they can and they are. and that doesnt make them both underdogs, one is the under and one isnt, or the odds are even, which they arent
yea. except they put them both in the negatives not because they are both so good, but because they feel the match is a pretty even one, and they want the betters to place their bets and move the lines in fighters favor. For those of you who dont know how ******** works, Ill try to break it down. so in this case, the oddsmakers arent sure what the betting public is gonna do, so they put out relatively even odds in the hopes that a clear favorite emerges and they can act on it.
Also, the oddsmakers are saying that if the fight doesnt come together before december 31st, then these bets are void. so they are hoping the fight comes together AFTER decemeber 31st, so they can cancel all the bets and see how the public reacted to those odds.
-125 means you bet 125 bucks to win 100. +125 would mean i bet 100 bucks to win 125Last edited by Kball15; 11-23-2009, 09:00 PM.Comment

Thanks for that , bloody confusing , I like it the way we do it here , two numbers their bet is first and your bet second , like 6/4 ,,, they bet 6 dollars to your 4 dollars you win the pot 10 dollars on a dollar bet , 11/2 , 9/4 etc even money is just that , you just instantly know your bet without pulling out a calculatorFor those of you who dont know how ******** works, Ill try to break it down.
