Rich Schaefer is merely a go-between for the two sides who can't meet eye to eye in negotiations where there's plenty to gain by both sides.

According to Floyd, Bob Arum still own him money for past fights. When someone owns me money and refuses to pay up, me and that person have problems. Richard Schaffer is nothing more than a representative for Al Haymon, Leonard Elerbee, and Floyd Mayweather during negotiations. Richard Schaffer doesn't move unless the aforementioned tell him so. So, if you want to get technical, Floyd and Team Mayweather is in the dominant position.
