There are people who have been able to parlay their personalities into bigger stardom, fame and money. Guys like Malignaggi, Mayweather, Tarver, Hamed, etc.
Floyd invested in his image and "star power" by doing all that outside of the ring stuff. Love him or hate him, he has been pretty astute about how he got it done.

So he expects to go on radio shows and talk shows and the host to just ask him questions that they would ask regular actors or musicians. And when they ask him about boxing he flips out and gets all defensive. But in reality he is not that famous and people know him as a boxer rather then a personality.
Some guys see themselves beyond boxing. Floyd has said that he is an entertainer. Boxing is just the vehicle to that broader arena, if you will.
It was a bad idea to book a long segment on a talk show during the week that both sides agreed to a private negotiation.

Mayweather claims pac is easy than why not take 50-50 and run the bank? Because he fears if he loses his marketing value will go down since he has a lost. What he fails to understand is boxing fans. If mayweather fights his heart out and still loses he may actually win new fans instead of losing fans. On the other hand, if he ducks pac, than his marketing value will go very down. As a result, when he understands that he will eventually agree to the fight.
