no doubt ... floyd rolls looks for openings and counters ... big difference. but manny said he did that for psyc effect so he can show cotto his punches didnt hurt him and to test his punch ... dunno how true it was but it seemed to work cause cotto had more then one opportunity to punish pac ont he ropes and he didnt throw

Distance! he cant deal with a fighters distance. JMM gave him distance which made his lunge look worse. Mayweather will give him distance and move more than pac has ever seen while pop shots fly from crazy angles, hold him on the inside when he shoots his straight right. It will be an easy night for money. who cares if the fans aren't satisfied.

can somebody PLease quote me on this^^^^!!!! If I am wrong then PAc is the second greatest in my book next to RJJ.

shure but theres a difference between what an experienced corner man who have actually been around boxing for maybe several decades and trained dozens of world class fighters and what a know-it-all chub behind his computer screen are saying. y'know? im not attacking anybody here or anything but come on do some of yall seriously think you know better than Pac? If there was some flaws or bad habits that needed working im shure Roach has already taken that care of.

he dont really lung with the left anymore

its going to be a great fight for sure
Thanks Shawn for the response bro!

Really? I still think he gets off balance, now his ability to recover from being off balance is impressive. His footwork, and his ability to set up immediately after his "habit" makes it a hard habit to use against.

Lunging - Yes I also believe he still lunges...again...he lunges. The only thing that allows him to "recover" if you will , is that he throws two three or four punch combos after that initial punch.(assuming he leads with the left). So...it's hard for a person to get off when there is more than one punch coming. I'm not saying they are blaring "habits" or "weaknesses" it's just that he's improved so much that they aren't as obvious.

Why are people getting so defensive about the topic? Is this not a boxing forum? Can people discuss boxing? Would people rather talk about the personal lives of boxers? My point is...it's a legitimate topic, and if people get too emotional about opinions that are no way "hostile" then this isn't the forum for you.
Otherwise if it's a discussion about boxing, technique, ability, and/or "habits" then discuss.

he was trying test cotto's power. he really want to feel it not roll w/ it and show cotto he can take it. mind games. and it worked, after that, cotto knew he cant hurt manny so stopped going toe to toe and ran.

I'm not just talking about the Cotto fight. In that case, yeah he was testing Cotto's power. But this is something that Pacquiao always does. He did it against Morales the first time, and Erik punished him.

Erik didnt punish Manny. He won by the slimmest margin 115-113 on all judges card. He outboxed Manny, he didnt give him a beating. The big cut was due to a headbutt.

Can you name some technical flaws or bad habits of Manny Pacquiao?
Picture a counter left hook timing this...

but bro aleast people are talking boxing to see who they will favor in the fight instead of making countless hate threads towards pac and floyd

I was talking about when Manny gets into that defensive shell, not the fight as a whole.
