Pacquiao is an Easy Fight For Mayweather, Says Ellerbe

I think this fight will be a bit like the Marquez fight BUT with Mayweather getting hit way more, maybe stunned, but his quick style and defense will probably win the fight, and of course the Counter ability he has, lets get it on.Comment

Manny's style is not a counterpuncher, this is boxing for god's sake, it's obvious he will exchange punches while the other is doing the same...if not he might as well go to the punching BAG!Comment

Excuse me, MF.. but I dont need you to explain the topic of conversation.. naturally when discussing any Floyd fight, "ducking" is relevant.. because he has made a career of it.. and this fight will be no different. Secondly, do you box? I think you would need to box your damn self before you explain to someone who boxes how fights are won in the ring.. have you ever stepped in a ring? or are you just running your mouth? A true Floyd, nuthugger.
If you are a boxer like you say you are, you would understand that styles make fights and you would not be saying that Mayweather won his "6 titles against bums". Calling Genaro Hernandez a bum will get you b-slapped in Southern Cali, that man is a warrior and there are some KNOWLEDGEABLE and respected boxing writers that believe he has Hall of Fame credentials. His only two losses are to a prime-time Oscar De La Hoya and Floyd Mayweater Jr, themselves future Hall of Famers. FM beat him in only his 15th pro fight! He beat a vicious-punching prime-time Diego Corrales, was he a "bum" too? Yeah we know he was dehydrated, but Cotto was weight drained against MP and it's a great victory, though? Jesus Chavez was not an elite fighter, but he certainly was not a "bum". Mayweather knocked him out and and then moved up to face Jose Luis Castillo, who was a holy-terror at 135lbs. I thought he beat FM the first time, but to his credit, FM did avenge what should have been a loss on his record. Put all of your credibility on the line, right here, right now, and tell us that Castillo was a "bum", will you? Arturo Gatti was never and elite fighter, but "bum"? Come on now. De La Hoya was clearly past his prime when FM beat him, and I don't think FM would have done so againt a 1999-2000 version of DLH. However, if DLH was a "bum" when Mayweather beat him, in his proper weight, what does that make him when Pacquiao beat him?
I won't go into the other "titles", because I don't believe Mayweather has taken on the best challenges since he moved into welterweight, both up and down. Which brings me to my next point. You mentioned that "statistics" don't matter right? Tell that to all of the morons that are screaming that Pacquiao is a "7-weight champion" and an ATG because of that. Using your own words, I think Pacquiao did pretty good job himself of "avoiding" threats by not fighting Marquez immediately after the rematch, and playing the deaf role when Mosely nearly begged him for a fight, even at 144lbs. Pacquiao has been taking the same business approach to boxing since the Marquez "victory" as Mayweather since moving up from Lightweight. Oh, but it's Ok because it's Pacquiao?
Yes, the fight will get signed. Let's talk boxing strategy bro, why is Pacquiao going to win this fight?Comment

in on when he retired. What the hell are you talking about Cotto/Mararito,
yeah, right I'm sure.Comment

So according to your logic, Arturo Gatti is going down in history as a great "counter-puncher" bro? I can remember many many times watching him put fools on ***** street after knocking them down during an exchange. I think I won't be applying this logic anytime soon, for fear of looking like a jacka$$ in doing so. Thanks anyway.Comment

Leonard Ellerbe is an idiot, their is no such thing as an easy fight. Maybe that fat **** should step inside a ring and then he'll realize no fight is easy even if you beat your opponent in a one-sided fight its still work.Comment

I think Ellerbe and Mayweather fans are forgetting that Pacquiao has been a completely different figther once he moved up to 135. He is no longer one-dimensional and has found balance in his foot work. Freddie Roach will spend months of video watching all of Floyd's tendancies and Manny will listen and learn from his trainer. If Pacquiao fought Marquez now at 140, he would obliterate him. For those who think this will be a calk-walk for Floyd, I hope you don't put your life savings on the fight cuz it could turn out badly for you.
Mayweather might have a bit of the same problem for Pacquiao as Cotto did : he is his own boss, who is gonna tell him how to fight Pacquiao? Himself?Comment
