Possibly. But if Floyd is a fighter that is highly adaptable, and changes depending on his opponent, wouldn't he naturally throw more punches against Pacquiao?

Marquez is a counter puncher, so it wouldn't be effective to stand and trade with him like Pacquiao did. Therefore, Mayweather potshotted and got out of the way before Marquez could counter.

I agree though, I'd like to see him throw more combos.

Is this Roach's way of gathering info on Mayweather's weaknesses?

Short of hiring the right sparring partners?

      That's a good idea.

a recurring theme that I am seeing is this thread is his low output. The crazy thing about that is that he is still winning fights fairly easy with his low output.

Just imagine if he picked it up (because we know he can, he chooses not for some reason) and fought like he did at 130 or 135.

His arrogance!!! If your talking technical flaws then you will struggle, he's like a text book everyhting is just right. not major weakness and very hard to take him away from his gameplan. I'd say use your jab alot, oscar did it and came close. Floyds defence cant block jabs so pepper him with jabs.

Remember, Mayweather won that fight by wide margins on all scorecards.
Remember, Judah is a 4 round fighter and wasn't aggressive vs Mayweather.

I definitely agree with the jab. He needs to jab more against Pacquiao, otherwise Manny will just charge in.

Yes. And we have to remember that JMM stays in the pocket more where Pacquiao was able to hit him. Mayweather won't do that.

That's why Judah isn't a good barometer for anything.

Judah could probably beat Manny in a 4 round fight. lol

Haha, I wouldn't work for that douchebag.

thats all and good to say but odl had size reach and one of the best jabs in boxing so it would not be an easytask to emulate ... and besides pac being shorter and having a reach disadvantage he is also a southpaw makes it harder for pac in the jab catagory ...
