Would Freddie Roach have made Kessler a better fighter? Can he still?

Maybe if Kessler had come to the States a while back and picked up a top "American" trainer, he would have been better off. With his tools, his intelligence, I think he would have picked it up quite easily. Plus the sparring against top quality American and other fighters. Now if his Character would allow him to bend some of the rules, not so sure...but, many things he could have learned. Pac isn't a rule bender inside the ring, so...

Yes, someone like Roach would have made him better early on; he still can right now

I'm sure Kessler could learn a thing or two from Roach but maybe he's too old for it to have any significant impact on his game. I think if fighters worked with at least one trainer with a completly different style than their own(even if it's for a real brief time) it would help them develop new facets to their skills, Jose Napoles adopting the Mexican style to the fundamentals he learned in Cuba could be a good example of this. But I'm sure someone can use DLH as an example of how too many trainers can be a bad thing (he looked terrible adopting the shoulder roll)
