Floyd has the best defense inside the boxing ring and is pretty good at it outside the ring also by picking opponents he KNOWS not THINKS he can beat.

Well I think James Toney has a just as good if not better defensive skillset than Floyd (although now he is much older and slower to react he is getting caught more). But besides that I can't really think of anyone.Comment

but.... the only one i would even consider is pernell sweet pea whitaker
his defense was bananas too, aaron pryor was pretty good but doesnt come close to sweet pea or floyd..pernell's defense was alot more flashy than floyd, which doesnt really make it better just more entertaining, but if you really watch both their defenses are just as effectiveComment

none of those guys have even landed ONE punch on mayweather.Comment

It will be suprising pick to people as Heavyweights other than ALi in his prime don't get credit for having a great defense. PRESENTLY i do think Vitali Kitschko is in the same level as PBF. One great punch and as a heavy you can get KOD. Even Lewis the master heavyweight boxer had 2 KO's, and Vitali never has been KOD or taken too much punishment besides his wars with Lewis and Sanders. He is excellent in blocking punches, slipping, and clinching to avoid a 2nd or 3rd punch.
If you go with old school fighters than WIllie Pep, Wilfred Benitez, and Sweet Pea Whitaker stick out to name a few.Comment
