I bet a lot of fighters could be just as good at defense as Floyd, but fighters usually want to get KO's on their resume, so they have to fight more offensively.

Zab Judah could probably be just as good as Floyd on defense if that's all he focused on and he never got offensive.

What makes Floyd special is that his Boxing IQ is very high, so he can set you up for counter's using his defense. Only problem with that is it's a very boring style and won't get many KO's.

Floyd's style is very effective for the Olympics where the point system favors accuracy and evasiveness, not punching power or combinations.
