Sonsona vs Vazquez Next? Wilfredo is Ready To Win

Super bantamweight Wilfredo Vazquez, Jr. (17-0-1, 14KOs) is ready for the challenge of Marvin Sonsona (14-0-1, 12KOs). The two may fight for the vacant WBO 122-pound title that was vacated by Juan Manuel Lopez. Sonsona was held to a draw on Saturday against Alejandro Hernandez. Vazquez saw action on Friday night, winning his fight to set up the possible duel for February 20 in Manila, Philippines. Promoter Félix “Tutico” Zabal, who also promotes Sonsona's Saturday opponent, says that he has a contract for the Sonsona fight. [details]

You can do it my man, in fact I would have Carita beating Marvin on a rematch.

correct me if im wrong but sonsona was fighting @ 115..means hes jumping 118 to 122 and getting a title shot. if im not mistaking my homeboy antonio escalante is ranked up there with rafa marquez in the tops for wbo 122lbs. obviously, marquez is tryna fight the money fights....so i believe it should be vasquez jr vs antonio escalante for that vacant strap. plus only thing better than pr vs pinoy is mex vs pr....golden boy needs to speak up and fight for their fighter escalante in this case

Yeah I'm with you escalante needs to win a tittle already he gots the goods to do it. But I think that he is having problems making the weight and I think he is moving up in class. But I think that it would be best if he stayed he has a good chance to dominate 122 since lopez and I believe caballero are gona be moving up in class.

WTF whats this "Vazquez Jr. wont win a decision" crap Im hearing?

Vazquez Jr. has a style that can prevent him from getting robbed, only a draw can save Sonsona from losing this fight. And if that happens, it will be
                    Serrano-Villaflor all over again.

Vazquez Jr. moves his head well even on attack, reminds me of John John Molina. He is not the type of risking getting hit to hit someone back like his father. Sonsona throws wild swings so Vazquez Jr. will look to pick him apart.

I haven't seen Sonsona's latest fight but going from what I saw from him against Lopez I think he has a little too much for Vazquez Jr. right now, Vazquez needs to tighten up his technique, both on offense and defense.
