ive been a pac fan since 98, i went back to the philippines for 2 years 96-98 and i was just surfing the channel and saw him ko this asian dude via body shot, and i remember i wanted to be a boxer after that hahah..

then i lost track of his fights when i came back here in the US up until i heard about the marquez I controversial draw and i was like, manny pacquiao?? he's that big now???

But to say I only started watching boxing cause of pac is pretty foolish.. I still remember when my dad threw a party just to watch Suger Ray Lenord and getting pissed when a Mike Tyson fight only lasted a few sec.

There are a couple of people on here i can tell started following pac first and branched out into watching other fights. usually i can tell in their dumbfounded knowledge on other fighters.

Majority of pac fans on here will be nowhere to be found once he loses or falls off. i dont think you have any idea how many mexican posters used to be here on a daily basis, now there are a few and thats about it. This board goes in cycles, the one thing i can say, mayweather jr has been the top topic since around july 2005. hes the one guy people cant stop making threads about. considering hes so forgettable, such a ducker worthless etc, im suprised so many people want to discuss him and his daily actions and motives.

regardless, like any other top fighter, once pac loses or falls off, alot of pac fans will be gone.

one thing i will say is this, pac has so many followers it screws the karma system on this board big time, alot of terrible posters get a pass on saying ignorant garbage because they favor pac in some way or another. you can basically say whatever you want because liking pac is the status quo.
