LOL holding was rare? What a joke, there was no inside fighting because every time they got close Ward clinched.

Ward had a game, executed it perfectly and got the win. It wasn't a pretty win, and it wasn't the cleanest win but a win nonetheless.

What I can understand is how all the Kessler fans are acknowledging Ward being the better fighter yet the Ward fans cant acknowledge the fact that Ward fought a dirty fight.

Abraham puzzles me. He has the traditional european style which he made to work somehow.
As long as it isn't Froch or anyone really winning by robbery I'm fine with any case.

I disagree. Ward got inside and he worked. If anything, it was Kessler who did nothing. He was beaten on the outside and on the inside. And I don't think Ward fought a dirty fight - a rough one, yes but not dirty. Sheesh, this is what's considered dirty these days?

There was still in-fighting. At least from Ward. Holding with one arm for a few seconds shouldn't keep you from throwing- and it sure didn't stop Ward. And Reiss separated the fight plenty.

Clinching every now and then and 2 accidental headbutts is dirty fighting now? Please. This is BOXING. To a certain extent, things like this will happen. And Saturday night was not even a blip on the radar in comparison to other dirty fights. Froch-Dirrell was WAY worse than that.

One more thing- KESSLER DOESN'T FIGHT ON THE INSIDE. He jabs and throws crosses. And you could tell when Ward clinched that he wasn't an in-fighter. So why is the clinching being used as an excuse for why he lost?

Ward didn't fight a dirty fight. If you notice the clinching is part of the game, it's up to the ref to break them apart. Dirty fighting it's when you go against the rules like when you hit your opponent in the bak of the head repeatedly.

Fighting in the clinch is not infighting. Its illegal, you cant hold and hit. Infighting is fighting in close distance, like when Floyd stays in the pocket or Castillo who leans against his opponent and digs into the body or head. They rarely ever clinch.

For the first 5 rounds or so Ward was fighting on the outside and anytime he got in Kessler's range he would clinch. Anytime he was in Kessler's range he would either move out of the way (which is fine) or clinch. What's the point in cutting off the ring if when you trap him all he has to do is clinch and you reset in the middle of the ring?

And whats with this "green" Ward? So what he's fought less professional fights. Ward has been boxing his entire life. Kessler was a full time mechanic until a couple years ago. I wonder who has more tricks up their sleeve?

Ward basically pulled a Hatton anytime he got close to Kessler. He would smother him, hold and punch.
