I would have liked Floyd but his ducking of real welterweight made me question his love to the sport of boxing.
Does anyone like both Floyd and Pacman? If so enter.

You need to stop generalizing. Personally I'd been into boxing for a couple of decades before I even watched a Pacquiao fight (Barrera, 2003).
As for the thread question, I only wish Floyd fans were as honest as one particular member here called h2k.
As for me, I appreciate Floyd is very skilled, his defense is off the hook. That's as far as it goes, I have no respect whatsoever.

I dont understand hate of any fighter to be honest its a very hard game they play , if you love the sport how can you hate on Manny or Floyd , *** me , they are the best out there , head and shoulder above the rest , I luv them both and couldnt bring myself to disliking either of them , but then I dont give the slightest care on what they say or do outside the ring , the hero worshipers can have all that and seem to like all the hype and media crap , I just like the fights and these 2 are the best .Comment

As a fan of Floyd's skills, I admire Manny's dedication to the sport and the excitement he brings to his fights.
I most admire Manny's humble demeanor and his compassion for his country and his people. His rise from poverty to the pinnacle of boxing is to be commended. He deserves all he has gained as an ambassador of the sport. The praise, the accolades, and the awards.
The rivalry between some Pac and Floyd fans is to be expected. It has just gotten so childish and immature, that any forum browsers and posters interested in gaining some knowledge and posting their opinions, can see right through the non-sense and simply choose to stay behind the scenes or move on.
A healthy rivalry should be enjoyed by both sides as it is in other sports.
But to play childish games to, supposedly, hurt others' feelings only reveals the true colors of those posters and their agendas, not to mention their maturity. It can be no other way.Comment

yh man i like them both, i am a bigger floyd fan though but manny is special and he is a great guy.
just like you i would root for floyd though because i believe floyds skills are a dying art and should be truly appreciated while he is around but manny is simply amazing and i am so glad i was born in the era to witness the 1st 7 weight world champ and to witness floyd making peoples offence turn to dust.Comment

I'm a geniune and true fan of both. I like them both as fighters and both as people as well too. I know its rare.
But I understand the concept of these fighters in ring and out of the ring personas.
Pac isn't as humble as you guys believe.
Floyd isn't a big of a jerk as you guys believe either.
Both are fighters. Both have accomplished more than 99.9 percent of the boxers in history. They both deserve everyones respect IMO.Comment

Props for your opinion, but the majority of us can only go by what has been presented to us in the media. Can't really judge anyone unless we've walked in their shoes. Meaning outside of boxing.I'm a geniune and true fan of both. I like them both as fighters and both as people as well too. I know its rare.
