your opinion........ofcourse if pac gets beat.........it would be safe that boxer had 100% superior skill........get my drift.............till then i still thinks its better for him to fight backwards

I don't think he's better, but it's a good thing to see that he CAN fight backwards if he has to. He actually did it against Hatton for the most part which let him see the openings Hatton makes when he jumps in. He also did it with Oscar and picked him apart that way. But Pac at heart is at his best going forward. You can't change someone whose done something all their career and Pac was always going forward bombing. Now he's under more controlled aggression while maintaining the killer instinct. I'd expect him to set traps if he faces Floyd but still maintaining his forward motion to bank rounds.

I think that he has always been a boxer-puncher.

Because even early in his Ledwaba days.. He uses his jab to set up power punches. That's a boxer-puncher.

Pacquiao is much more effective fighting on the backfoot than he used to be.

coming forward is still his thing though, He does that brutally.

I think that was just because he was going for the finish and got too excited at times. He didnt make those mistakes against delahoya or hatton and he definitely wont be looking for the knockout against floyd or mosley unless he's clearly dominating.

He definitely improved his powerpunching but his main weapon is still aggression...
