Look at how Shane handled good boxers, Oscar rematch (Clearly lose) and Forrest 2 times. It's clear to me that JLC could handle a good boxer alot better. JLC may have not beaten Casamayor in my eyes but he looked good, as he did against Mayweather twice. Ofcourse Shane is better then JLC but you have to take into consideration on how they deal with certain styles and JLC showed me that he could deal with a good better alot better.I know what you mean, but Mayweather at 135 wasn't as defensive or experienced infact he did get tagged occasionally (and I say that sparingly because when I say occasionally I mean more than he does now but still less than average)
Castillo gave him a fight as your aware, and following the Castillo blueprint may have given Mosley the decision win, if Mosley was in that ring instead of Castillo in their first fight I have no doubt that Mayweather would have been handed his first loss. Once Mayweather faced his first real "test" I actually think he tryed to improve his game against the Castillo blueprint which is why when people try to follow the Castillo fight they fail.
Which is why I think Shane has the best change at 135, and regardless you don't get to 32 (30) if you don't have power.Last edited by Doctor_Tenma; 11-22-2009, 04:33 PM.Comment

I think the Forrest fights were more a case of Shane not being able to handle taller stronger boxers at all, plus whatever hold Vernon just seemed to have. Most the trouble Shane has had in his career was against guys who were bigger and stronger, which Mayweather isn't.Comment

It was Forrest's jab and straight right hand, something Mayweather also has. He may not have the power or the size but he does have those 2 attributes and the better movement to frustrate Shane.I think the Forrest fights were more a case of Shane not being able to handle taller stronger boxers at all, plus whatever hold Vernon just seemed to have. He doesn't have a strong jab really, he hasn't had one since his earlier days. Although the introduction of Mayweather Sr. does seem to have forced it use in the Marquez fight.Comment
