NO, every fighter fights 3 times unless they withdraw from the tourney, after that the 4 with the most points fight in semis, and then finals.
2 points for win 3 for ko/tko. if someone withdraws a replacement enters and picks up where they left off, inluding their points if they have got any.

Honestly if Mikkel loses to Froch I think he should seriously contemplate hanging them up as that will mean that he can't beat anyone relevant.

I have been saying it for a while kessler is a poor mans version of Pavlik. Pavlik is more well rounded, since he can get down and dirty.

Kessler is good boxer street.
Style make fights,Kessler is a one dimensional fighter destroyer,dude is a butcher.
But everytimes he fought a guy with slickness,craftness,brain and high workrate that can avoid or take his punches,he get exposed.

I thought Calzaghe take a good part of his soul,he still can knock a no defense dude like Froch.
Kessler wasn't really good against Perdomo until he knocked him out,and it's ****in Perdomo.

Last night he saw a freak of a talent.

Why do people say War This and War That? Is kinda silly and you should stop.

I think Kessler means that Ward whupped his Ass. Was an easy fight to predict since Kessler was overrated to begin with, but Ward showed that he may be the favorite of the tourny. Kessler is an average fighter with an above average chin who likes to brawl but only at a distance. He is like a gay robot programmed to do one thing and doesnt know how to adjust or go to Plan B when things are not going his way. And there was plenty of those moments. Who whould of ever thought that Andre would pull a Hopkins and Ruff up the bigger stronger champion or ex champion? Mikkel is kind of a weird fighter but he has balls so i will not bash him too badly. He does have a good chance to beat Froch but is not a sure thing. Froch does not move like Andre and will be more stationary, and much like Kessler, Carl likes to brawl at a distance. I give Froch the upperhand in a slugfest but Kessler will look much better and in Denmark, i think we all know who will get the Decision. But Froch might be able to stop Mikkel in the later rounds if he lands the shots that Ward got off on him. Kessler showed he has a good chin but he got Rocked too often by average power with Ward, for me not to think Froch will not be able to end it early. Will be a good fight and hard to pick a winner. On the other hand Ward showed me that he is a much better fighter than i thought and i cannot wait to see Ward V Abraham, hopefully both still undefeated, for a sure Classic.

Hats off to M.K. for admitting he got beat fair and square. As for C.F.. M.K. will destroy HIM! This will be revenge for the way he cheated against A.D.!!

Dirrell complains that Froch got away with dirty tactics and got a hometown decision and Kessler complains that Ward got away with dirty tactics and got a hometown decision. You know what the problem is?!?!? Why does anyone get to fight in their hometown? To me, that just seems preposterous. I can understand it to a point (who knows who Ward is outside Oakland, who knows who AA is outside Germany, etc.) but the whole point of this tournament was to find out who is the best fighter, not who is the one to upset the hometown guy. For instance, Kessler vs. Froch should NOT be in Denmark or the U.K., Dirrell vs. A.A. should NOT be in Germany or the U.S.A., etc...

Personally, being from the U.S., I have been pulling for the U.S. guys and I thought Dirrell did just enough to win (although I can understand why Froch thinks he won as well) and Ward did hit him alot but did alot of dirty work as well to get his win. I'm looking forward to round 2, but none of these guys should get hometown fights from here on out. Keep it neutral and then if a decision comes out screwy, at least you can't complain about it being hometown crowd, ref, judges, etc....
