    Sakio Bika who he beat by a wide points margin?

    well hopkins fought at middleweight which was a much better division.
    This has been round and round the merry go round, but Bernard Hopkins' middleweight? Seriously? Morrade Hakkar? Howard Eastman? Carl Daniels? Robert Allen? Robert Allen THREE TIMES!?

    I don't like playing the resume game, I really don't, but when someone comes out with something as obviously ****** as this I just have to.

    The fact that some of the no-marks that Hopkins has beaten in his Middleweight tenure were top ten is testament to the weakness of the division at the time, not the strength of Hopkins' championship.

      Imo it showed that Calzage's win over Kessler isn't as big as we thought it was. The guy fought straight up like a bum last night. I guess he was over hyped like Lacey.

          As much as Calzaghe is annoying and comes across ignorant, anyone who disses his boxing ability is a hater. The man can fight, he has seriously good speed, good jab, he looks very awkward and sometimes he's not so great on the eye, but he gets the job done. The Kessler he fought was an absolute beast. That's not to say yesterdays Kessler ****** or wasn't the same, nobody really knows. Overhyping fighters comes from media and fight fans who don't know ****, not from proper boxing experts and fans who have watched the sport for a long time. Most boxing experts had him down as P4P #2, surely you not gonna discredit that? And whether you think he won or lost to Hopkins, the fight was VERY VERY close.....the fact the fight was that close should show the man can fight.....look what Hopkins did to Pavlik, Trinidad and guys liike that in comparison to how much he struggled with Calzaghe. No need to diss the mans credential, he was a great fighter.

            It wasn't close, it was ugly. Not close.

              Exactly. Close? No ****ing chance! Funny ****. Anyone who says this is just saying it for the hell of it, though. Bika tried every dirty trick in the book, that's why it was an awkward fight. Calzaghe had never even been cut up until that point in his career.

              Meh. Who cares anyway. Dude is retired, I'd still favor him over anyone in the Super Six, I'm still a fan, and I still like Kessler.

                It proves Calzaghe didn't train in proper headbutting technique as well as Ward did.

                  It lessons his win over Kessler. That said, I still don't see anyone in the tourney that Calzaghe couldn't beat. Maybe Ward in another year or so but who knows? Calzaghe's resume is what it is. A fine HOF career. Now that his fans have stopped (somewhat) waxing poetic, I'm actually starting to miss the guy.

                    Because triangular logic is the ONLY way of determining who is the better fighter. Who is better, Foreman or Ali? Well Ali got beat by Frazier who got destroyed by Foreman so FOREMAN is the BEST! Who's better out of Hearns and Duran? Well Duran beat Leonard who beat Hagler who blasted out Hearns in three rounds so DURAN is better!

                    Who is better out of Vitali Klitschko and Hasim Rahman? Obviously as Rahman knocked out Lewis while Lewis stopped Klitschko then Rahman is the better fighter.

                    It's the ONLY logic that counts. The ONLY logic.
                    although i see ur point, that doesnt apply in this instance.... if kessler would have beaten ward, the triangular theory would cause u to assume that calzaghe is better than ward... but that didnt happen... so that theory us void... for instance

                    Taylor>Hopkins + Pavlik>Taylor Should = Pavlik> Hopkins {theoretically}

                      Its amazing where all the haters come out from, I knew this would happen, you've no idea how much I wanted Kessler to win last night to avoid this pish.

                      I'll put this to the OP - Taylor beat Hopkins twice by decision, but lost twice to Pavlik by TKO and decision, then Hopkins schools Pavlik by decision, so using your logic who is better?
