In the last two years, Vijay Singh has completely dominated golf, but if you asked Joe Bloe he'd probably just say 'Tiger Woods' out of ignorance.

I guess its just a popularity contest. Either way, props to Woods for the win.
in the summary of their golf careers, count their winnings and not just winnings, major titles. tiger has 8 major titles in just a span of 7 years. im not so sure of vijay, how many major titles has he won? and how many years had he spent in the league as a professional? and then compare it to woods? if vijay had the edge in the no. of winning majors, then probably tiger didn't deserve all the credits he is now enjoying.

same here... id on't give a damn on who's playing in the tourn, as long as i see tiger, im going to watch it

Not much of a slump. But this year the best player by far has been Phil Mickelson closely followed by Tiger. Tiger has the bottle and mentality which brings him through in a lot of his major wins.
