in the summary of their golf careers, count their winnings and not just winnings, major titles. tiger has 8 major titles in just a span of 7 years. im not so sure of vijay, how many major titles has he won? and how many years had he spent in the league as a professional? and then compare it to woods? if vijay had the edge in the no. of winning majors, then probably tiger didn't deserve all the credits he is now enjoying. -

same here... id on't give a damn on who's playing in the tourn, as long as i see tiger, im going to watch itOriginally posted by chitoi guess, golf is a game of breaks, same as in billiards. these professional players have all the capabilities to win but it's the breaks that could make the difference in the close rounds. like tiger did. he made an error in the 17th and found his ball in the sand, look how he recovered and bogeyed it. that's what make tiger woods tiger woods. he may have all these media hypes around him, but he certainly deserves the credit because he is a very good golf player. golf has gotten so popular now worldwide because of tiger. this may be an overstatement coming from me, but in my case, i had the interest of watching a golf game on tv because of tiger woods.

Not much of a slump. But this year the best player by far has been Phil Mickelson closely followed by Tiger. Tiger has the bottle and mentality which brings him through in a lot of his major wins.Comment
