    Pac Gets USD 22M

    Pacquiao earns P1.3 billion

    By DENNIS PRINCIPE
    November 21, 2009, 8:39pm

Here’s one billion reasons why Manny Pacquiao should maximize his remaining potential earnings inside the ring.

Bob Arum, in a report by ESPN reveals Pacquiao will receive $22 million now that the official Pay-Per-View counting is about to be concluded.

Convert that to Philippine peso and that will translate to a whopping P1.3 billion based on yesterday’s 46.8 peso-dollar rate.
Is that after taxes? What's Freddie and Buboy's share?

The Nevada commission provide some purse guratanee and that amount was already deducted from taxes and the PPV shares was not included at that time.

Cotto earned like 11-13 million dollars

Freddie gets 1 mil. Buboy probably just works for room and board.

I thought there's no income tax in the Philippines?

I think Trainers get 1-2% of purse. I dunno about Buboy. I don't think he has a share of the purse, just a stipend with Manny. A fairly rich stipend probably.

Didn't know phils has income tax. I know fight was made in U.S. ,but Manny isn't U.S. citizen so he doesn't get hit with IRS, unless he stays too long in the U.S.

That was the entire reason why Manny's camp spent some time in the Phils before training at Wild Card. So his purse wouldn't get taxed by IRS.

Pac-Floyd will break the 2.4mil mark but it wont do too much better. I dont think the fight breaks 3mil in ppv buys.

Get your boy to sign the dotted line @147 with 50/50 split so they can both make record dough.

I don't think it's gonna happen. Your boy is being a lil' primadonna with his demands.

2.6mil buys, no better or worse. If it goes over 3mil, boxing is back baby!
