fights in the tourney. What power does Kessler have? He has never knocked an elite fighter out.
Kessler isn't knocking no one out in this tourney and probably will lose his next two

I've never thought of Kessler as a knock out boxer.
I have not seen the Kessler-Ward fight but I really thought that he could beat him. Yesterday I watched some Ward fights on youtube and thought he boxed like a bum. If Kessler can't beat someone like Ward then he is done.
He is like Hatton in the respect that I dont think he can adjust and learn new tricks. He has always hated infighting and when somone jumps him he looks very uncomfortable. And why did his trainer the day before the fight say that he hoped that Kesslers psyke (spelling?) could hold up. Strange thing to say. Is he that fragile mentally after 40+ fights.
I miss Calzaghe... -
Calzaghe beat Kessler in Kesslers prime 2 years ago, sorry but you're incorrect. While Kessler was coming off a great win dominating Andrade, Kessler fought some bum before he fought Ward. Kessler has been fighting soft opposition ever since he lost to Calzaghe.Comment

Kess hasn't lost or looked poor since the JC fight. He was the favorite to win the tourney. Ward outboxed him and made him look like a C class fighter....which is what he is.Comment

Wards better than what i thought and can fight...and with his head to lolComment

Irrespective of what happened to Kessler today, when he fought Joe he was seen as number 2 in that division, a world champion and considered a threat to Joe. This has no effect on the stature of Joe's win at all. You judge a win based on how high a regard that boxer was held in at that time of that fight, not what happens in the future, because it's completely irrelevant and today's match had no bearing on Joe's match with Kessler, how could it have done? Today's fight was 2 years in the future of Joe and Kessler's fight. In 2007 Kessler was considered a top fighter and number two in that division. It's like saying Douglas' and Holyfield's wins over Tyson don't mean anything because he was stopped by Kevin McBride.Comment

kessler will knock froch out
ward was too quick and too good, he had good tactics in holding and kessler couldnt time him
kessler wont have that problem with the slow and very easy to hit frochLast edited by cace; 11-22-2009, 08:01 AM.Comment
