That was brilliance... exposed Kesslers inability of fighting inside and being unable to deal with someone who's crafty and posesses good movement, he's been fighting those straight foward, flat footed, no defense ass europeans for all these years...

I have been backing Ward as the real deal for a very long time, so this is a sweet night for me. And yes, Kessler was somewhat overrated, although not completely. Kessler is and was a solid champion, fundamentally sound and very talented. Still one of the best SMWs in the world.
The thing is, people were acting like he was head and shoulders above the entire division, and that didnt seem right to me. Well, Andre Ward proved me right. Kessler still has a good career ahead of him, he is a hell of a fighter. Just not the dominant creature some of his fans made him out to be.

I've been telling you for over a year Kessler was overrated. He's a good fighter but no top 20 p4per by any stretch. Ward could end up being a great fighter, so it's not a meaningless win. I'm just saying you ran your mouth for a while about how Kessler was so great despite his best win being Librado Andrade.

Kessler is no bum...But Ward is just head and shoulders better than him. I have said it before they even fought(I picked ward to win the tourney).

Ward has many dimensions, and a mean streak. He displayed that against Miranda, and from what I hear, against Kessler too.

I see people saying that Kessler got beat by a novice with 20 fights, that is so very false. The man has a very deep pedigree.

Ward will be a future star, and very tuff to beat.
