Andre Ward replaces Mikkel Kessler as tourney's new favorite

After beating the odds on favorite in rather convincing fashion and having easily the most one sided bout, is there any debating that ward is the new fav. for the tourney?

ummmm yeah there's debating, Ward held, butted, and fought an all around dirty fight.
AA is still the favorite and I think in Europe or MGM grand with a fair ref, Kessler would whoop Ward.

Nope. Its his to lose. If he fights somewhere that wont allow him to hold the whole fight I think he can still get on his bike and win a UD over anyone in the tourny. I said going in that the winner of this fight would take the whole thing. With the right ref Ward will do the exact same thing to anyone he fights. The problem is that if Ward wins we get no star from the Super 6. He is ugly and boring to watch. He wont bring in any new fans.

I picked Ward to win over Kessler months ago. Even tho Kessler "was" the favorite to win the tournament I thought this could potentially be the final as well. But now that Kessler was exposed no way he's making it to the finals.

wards holding is strategic and toward the middle of the fight kessler began holding...

as for boh kess and frochs chances against ward, they are too conventional as I stated before fight their power lies at the end of punches, they dont have any ingame any pursuit ability.

If you watch calzaghe and andrade all kessler's punches w power land when he is allowed to establish range. He has no versatility froch needs long rights to have power as well see the pushing punches he landed against dirrel vs ko vs taylor.

Abraham also is very constrained. He is either on offense or on defense like a soccer player rather than a fluid boxer. His transitions are overstated and slow, he will be exposed.

Taylor is shot and dirrell is too passive. point blank period

I have the opposite opinion. I think AA is quite overrated. His status as favorite to win this thing is based on his right hand power alone. Is the field so shallow that a puncher's chance is going to carry a guy through five fights? I doubt it. Ward will definitely outbox Abraham, and so might Dirrell.

We saw a different fight. I didn't find Ward to be boring at all. He was aggressive throughout the entire fight. I don't think anybody else in this tournament would have gone after Kessler the way Ward did.
