Well, Kessler wasn't going to win anyway, but I guess that's not the point of this thread. I agree with this thread. He got away with too much holding and too much headbutting. Some of them were ridiculously obvious.

Saying that, it is obvious Ward will never be popular. He is ****ing horrible to watch. He just clinches non stop like a *****. God, there is nothing worse than a guy that does nothing but clinch to win fights and fight off the clinch.

It's meant to be a tool used to rest, turn a guy, get out of danger etc etc etc, not to win a whole goddamned fight by doing nothing more than clinching, punching during the clinch, punching off the clinch and then clinching off the clinch too!



All the people saying that the thread starter is a **** for saying this stuff are the same people that used to ***** about Hatton being a clincher and nothing more.

Put John Ruiz and Ricky Hatton together and you get Ward, plus add a bit of Hopkins for the butting in there too.

Kessler's ****ed anyway. He looks done. I've never seen him look so shocking. Really bad.

Ward was schooling him, but the fouls he got away with were just insult to injury.

As I've said before, I don't think that much of illegal tactics (most top fighters have their share of tactics they get away with and have to deal with from opponents), unless it's real extreme, a la Pedroza-LaPorte.
