So? We're talking about the shining light, and maybe the only one, on a supposed ATG getting badly outclassed by a young fighter. Sorry that has to put a dent in the resume of Calzaghe.

And incidentally, Ward handed Kessler his ass more decisively than Calzaghe did. And with reference to the headbutts - why was he getting outclassed right from the start, then?

What's the connection between Calzaghe's win against Kessler and Ward's win against Kessler. Sorry but I really don't get what your trying to point out.

IMO it's hard to not take into account how Kessler does.. Had Kessler gone up to heavyweight and knocked out a Klitschko. Everyone would say holy **** Calzaghe beat the guy who knocked out a Klitschko. So how can it not work both ways. Even with Ward's gross spoiler tactics, Ward appeared clearly to be the better man in every respect.(other than tattoos)

I don't think so. Calzaghe fought a better Kessler imo.

Yes of course it did, just as even Joe himself said Hopkins win over Pavlik improved it.

You can't have one without the other.

Or maybe Kessler just did better against JOe.

If he said so, so what? This thread isn't about how Joe sees it, it's about how WE see it.

Becuase he was better then, imo, ofc he did better.

I think Kessler was better when he won 120-108 over Andrede and then lost to Calzaghe.

no i think kesslers loss to ward makes calzaghe's legacy even better! his legacy is that he's an overhyped bum who fought nobodies and old men right?
