I'd say if Kessler was ruined by anything it was his promoter Mogens Palle who couldn't secure him the big fights when he needed them.

I don't think Andre Ward's win diminishes Calzaghe's legacy by much, Calzaghe had already made Kessler look what he is, somewhat one-dimensional and unable to adapt. Ward simply proved to be the goods and Kessler was proven to be exactly that, a one-dimensional fighter. If he was broken mentally, he would not have kept on answering the bell each time even though he was urged to quit.

Kessler can still go onto win some important fights and Ward may go onto prove himself a very good fighter who always was a level above Kessler. Calzaghe's legacy will stay as it is, had Kessler gone onto become a great fighter it would have looked better on hindsight.

Don't see much of a difference, they both used great hand speed and head movement to keep Kessler out of position. The only difference I saw was Ward gave Kessler 2 cuts on headbutts and was holding and hitting entirely too much.
