Kessler is a basic 1-2 fighter that comes straight ahead and doesn't move his head at all. Ward boxed his ears off and gave him a boxing masterclass. He's a sore loser for not giving Ward the credit he deserves.Comment

Option two had a bit of an effect but the biggest problem was option one. Let's just say if that was a prime Roy Jones Jr. in there at 168, Kessler wouldn't even be awake to give an interview at the end.
Option two though helped make him give up after the mid-point so it was in play as an effect. Head-butts hurt, accidental or not. Clinching...well, not fan but I'll show you a list of great fighters that have used it...and decent fighters like Hatton that have used it more and soley as the key factor to win.Last edited by Benny Leonard; 11-21-2009, 11:44 PM.Comment

Kessler made every excuse - it just was not his night and he got beat to the punch and really schooled by an awkward fighter who was hitting from odd angles and moving a lot. I lost some respect for Kessler - not for getting beat up, but for making all the excuses after.Comment
