I was very impressed by Ward, no doubt. But Kessler doesn't look as good as he once did, he looked kind of bad in his last fight aswell.

It was touch and go after his last fight whether the long lay off hurt him or he was perhaps suffering ring rust. Tonight showed he's not the same fighter he was before the surgery.
There were openings, Ward was often lunging in but Kessler couldn't catch him because he couldn't let his hands go. That's a clear sign of a fighter who is past his best.
That said, I still pick Kessler to beat Froch.
