No denying Ward was already dominating before the headbutts, but they pretty much ensured that there was no way Kessler could come back.

Which is a shame, because about the 5th round on, Ward starting fighting pretty sloppy, lunging in with no head movement. Kessler had no chance to capitalize on it because of the headbutts.

exactly, kessler has power and was always a threat (he caught Ward with a couple of big ones) but the poor fker couldn't see out of one eye and then Ward nails the other one with yet another headbutt

kessler is a 44 fight veteran and he sounded like a little kid complaining about losing. fact of the matter is he couldnt find his range because ward was to versatile and quick for him, point blank.

you can only say that up to the point where he could only see out of one eye

look at cotto/margarito, if Cotto had headbutted him out of the fight at R.6 he would've won and people would be talking about how Cotto dominated him

you can't take away someone's eyesight like that with persistent illegal tactics.

ward won fair and square, but kessler isn't to fight such a rough fight... I guess he didn't watch the miranda fight

you would be pissed too if biased hometown referees let you get headbutted to death.
