Why would HBO want to share it's PPV profits when 9 out of 10 times they have the bigger names and better selling fights?

It's better that they're separate. Competition is good for boxing.

But imagine all the money they could put into a card. We can get Pac, Mosley and Hopkins all fighting at the same night. Plus my poor ass can't afford showtime and hbo.

And you'd be paying $200 for those pay per views, there just isn't enough money to go around.

They've co-promoted in the past Lewis vs Tyson each fighter made 20million a ticket cost $2,400 and this 'if I remember correct' was the start of the $50-$60 cost of PPV.
