I wanted to give Kessler the respect that he couldn't just be handled by Ward like that. But that was beautiful to witness.


One thing I do feel vindicated in having said previously, is that Ward is multiple times more the real deal than Dirrell. What we just saw in Ward is the quality that made all the 'Mayweather' and 'Whitaker' defences of Dirrell's performance in the Froch fight so laughable last month - GRIT. And Ward's control of distance and angles is wonderful, with so much more in his repertoire besides. Such a well-rounded fighter and a great attitude.



Made up for him. No title win has been more deserved this year IMO.

Ward looked good, but he's definitely beatable. Abraham will take him out. Kessler had a seriously off night and was not his usual self here, that's the worst i've ever seen from him.

I agree, this is the worst Kessler I have ever seen in my life. There were some headbutts but no real excuses from me. Kessler did look flabby and the most out of shape I have ever seen. I think he underestimated Ward to be honest......awh, time to pay up on my bet.

I had nothing to do with Kessler looking off tonight or not turning up, i've watched Kessler for years. Although he's a superb fighter, he fights in straight lines and no side movement, someone fast and slick like Ward, who was phenonenal tonight was always going to give him problems. Kesslers been found out twice now.

Against fighters like Froch he will be fine, against slick fighters like Dirrel and Ward, he's in trouble and thats a european saying that
