  • Did You Have Any Of Pac's Last 3 Opponents Beating Him!? Why!?

Give good reasons why you thought any of them would beat Pac!

ODLH - Well I know I am not the only one that thought ODLH would beat him, but I figured he would KO Manny. This was mostly due to DLH's size, but the other part of me thought that he could def outbox Manny any day. Even though we all know he wasn't himself that day I was still Wrong!

Hatton - Didn't really know to much about Hatton except for that he got handled by May, and was a good brawler/body puncher. I figured Manny would loose due to Hatton's size. Wrong again!

Cotto - I really thought Cotto had this fight, no not just because I am rican and I support my country's fighters, but because I thought that his jab and power would be too much for Manny to handle. After all the thread wars, and going back and forth with Samurai...I really did believe that Cotto could time his jab (sort of like in the 1st round) to stop Pac or beat him in a UD. Wrong x3!

Before yall come in here and start saying "that is why you shouldn't go against Manny"...I know some of you had your doubts when he was put against these opponents. So for those of you that can keep it real WHY did you have any of the above 3 fighters beating Manny, and what you believe was the reason why the fighter you chose lost!?

Is it simply because DLH was weight drained, Hatton just fought ******, and Cotto wasn't himself!? OR are Roach & Manny that great of a team that no boxer has a chance? And if you believe that what do you expect their gameplan to be agianst May!?

I know a lot of questions!!! LOL

I picked De La Joto to win because a) his jab b) his size that was it. I knew De La Joto was past it, had troubles with slick fighters and southpaws.

but, I wasn't confident that PAC could stick with the gameplan. And one of the most difficult things to overcome in boxing, especially for a short fighter, is a tall fighter with a good jab! And, I really thought that De La Joto was gonna box from the outside, instead he made the mistake of chasing PAC around.

Hatton and Cotto, I picked PAC to win in both, but, in the back of my mind, I thought, there could've been a way for the two to win. Especially given their size. Looking back, WTF was I thinkin' for even thinkin' either guy had a decent chance at an upset lol.

I had DLH because I thought he was way too big for lil' Pac...... but was happy ass hell Pac stamped him up!!
I had Pac stoppin' Hatton.....but NOT in 2
I had Cotto for the SAME reasons I had DLH and then some.....not shocked Manny won......but shocked at HOW he did it......major props!!

Like most people i said DLH because the size
then i wanted hatton to beat pacquiao because i wasnt convinced pacquiao was a real welterweight and surprised he lost in 2
then i wanted cotto to win but i had doubts he would

I had all 3 of them beating him lol.. The fact that he proved me wrong everytime won my heart over and I became a fan

I picked Oscar because I thought Manny would be too feather fisted as a WW and would not be able to take Oscar's shots. Is till didn't give him credit after the win because I felt he just got lucky and Oscar was too old.

I had Hatton winning because I thought that Manny would only get lucky once, and he already had his moment of shine and Hatton would put an end to it since he was hungry after coming off the Mayeather loss.
I completely misjudged Pac because I felt that Hatton was going to be the stronger man and harder puncher.
After he knocked Hatton out I couldn't believe it. I thought it was a setup fight for sure so they can match Manny with mayweather. I still didn't give him thye credit he deserved.

Then in the Cotto fight I kind of had doubts. I knew Cotto was the biger and stronger man and I picked him to win, but I still felt that Manny could do the imaginable and pull it off. I never imagine he was going to dominate Cotto like that though. Even if he was going to win it would be a more competitive fight and probably end up in a UD.

The Cotto fight did it for me. It completely changed my whole view on Manny and I felt bad for not giving him the credit from the beginning.
I don't think I could doubt Manny's ability ever again. What he has done so far has proved that he's a hero

I thought DLH would kill Manny..... DLH was supposed to overpower him and use his size but it didnt pan out like I planned.

I openly boasted that Hatton would KO Pacquiao but that was more wishful thinking than anything else. Deep down I knew Hatton was screwed. Pacs too fast.

I correctly picked Pacquiao to destroy Cotto. Cotto has been shot ever since Margarito ended his career last summer.

So Im 2-1 when picking Manny fights and I will improve to 3-1 when PBF embarasses him in May.

i had DLH beating him...at some point, i thought he would catch PAC with that vintage left hook and put him to sleep...however, as with the Cotto fight, i predicted that if PAC was still standing after 6 or 7 that DLH would be in deep ****

the hatton fight, i saw that a mile away...

                the cotto fight, ditto

I thought De La Hoya was simply gonna be too big for Pacquiao, To me all De la Hoya needed was one good left hook and it was over. Turned out he was past it and weight drained. Pacquiao dished him out a beating.

I felt Pacquiao was too quick for Hatton and he would break Hatton down in the late rounds. Pacquiao surprised me with his power in that one. Hatton got layed out.

I knew Pacquiao had a good chance against Cotto based on his speed and footwork but i was unsure about his punch resistance at 147 especially against a good puncher like Cotto. I favored Cotto to win based on being naturally bigger and having very good power.

Pacquiao really impressed me with his punch resistance at 147.
