Why does Team PAC and Team Mayweather have to have a media war?

I know this always happens, especially if it's between two marquee names. But, I don't understand why each side has to have an article every f**kin' day, explaining to us why their fighter is the bigger cash-cow ?

I mean, us reading about it, is just that, we just read about it. Regardless of who the cash-cow is, the fans, hardcore and casual alike, just want to see the two best get it on.

I just don't see the purpose of each party going out to the media telling us why they're the bigger cash-cow. The #s are already in front of 'em.
