well floyd sr was at the pac/cotto fight. So its not like they dont watch pac or arent familiar with his style.

I saw a video with Roger where he picked Cotto to win against pac but he did give pac a lot of respect so I get the feeling he will take it very seriously.

I dont know if the not watching tapes is true or not but they do watch the pac fights and are familiar with him.

To beat Pac you got to come up with a counter punching plan. The one thing that DLH, Hatton and Cotto all had in common was they had no real game plan and were expecting their power and size to win them the fight. PBF doesnt rely on power or size, he comes prepared to go 12 rounds and relies on skills and defense. He has a huge style advantage against Pac, I think he will win.

Sounds crazy standing in front of Pacquiao, but if you get backed up, or take flush shots you will lose. Pressuring Pacquiao or running from him is the last thing you want to do. So far only Marquez was able to stay right in front of Pacquiao without looking like a bum. Floyd does not fight like marquez, also I doubt pot shotting works since, Pac will throw a combo as soon as you get off. Should be interesting.
Well backing pac up is one decent strategy because he doesnt have to fight much backing up. I dont expect PBF to do that because he isnt going to change his style overnight for such a huge fight. The only guy I can see trying to back up Pac would be Paul williams and he could probably do it and win that way.

I think PBF will have to rely on his fast counters to get Pac to drop his output, which would work well cause Pac leaves himself open when he is jumping in, he will be hesitant to let his hands go. There are quite a few rounds in the JMM fights where Pac seems to be content to just sit there and box with him because being overly aggressive gets him countered. I think PBF can get him to drop his output as well.
