Yeah, same here. I'd somehow rationalise the outlay in my head; probably tallying up all the **** I waste money on weekly/monthly/yearly, and comparing it to watching a terrific match-up like Ward vs Kessler, a fight I have been looking forward to for ages.

That price sucks, though. I'm only paying £6 for my PPV of it tonight

I'm pissed because it is far from prime time over here.
anyway. 100$ is standard. Palle's excuse for setting it so high (I believe Brian Nielsen-Larry Holmes was the first ppv in Denmark, and it was 100$ as I remember it) to begin with, was that it was needed if was to win the purse bids.
      It never changed since...

That's hard to believe, and at 4AM. Even if people are willing to pay that, it's mean to make them.

If I dont spend it on a PPV I'll end up buying something way ******er. I quit going out for errands, because my girl got mad I cant go to Wal Mart without spending $500.

            yep.
Altogether I'm happy with the tourney. We get the other fights for free. Normally I'm used to watch most boxing from an on line source, in bad quality or after it's been spoiled.
The tourney brings spotlight on the fighters, and good boxing in to my life.
I pay 300$ for 9 fights, thats way better than a 100 for one..

100 dollars does seem like a lot to ask on any given fight but it all evens out. As far as I know most people from Denmark have very few PPVs and get most fights for free. Here in the states I pay 19 dollars a month for Showtime, 19 dollars a month for HBO, and at least 60 dollars for each PPV. Even with only 3 PPVs this year I will have spent 641 dollars to watch boxing. I would be very happy if I only had to pay 100 dollars. I could be wrong what Denmark pays for fights but I highly doubt they have to shell out 600 dollars a year to see the fights.

                What the hell?

I just ordered the fight from PrimeTime for 6 euro 95 cent.

Why are people in Kessler's own country being charged a fortune?

I think HBO and Showtime sends alot more boxing then the Danish channels do, though.

It does for sure. If you have both networks you probably get boxing about 35 of the 52 Saturdays. Plus we have ESPN but still it is very pricey to be a fan in the States. I forgot a spent 35 damn dollars on the last RJJ PPV. In fact, I had to cut out getting most of the second rate PPVs like Top Rank or Latin Fury because my addiction was costing so much. I do agree 100 dollars is a lot to ask especially after reading that it's just for the main event. Should at least get the whole card for that price.
