When Kessler lost to Calzaghe, he lost his confident and add to that his inactivity and his age, this is all set up for a upset..

Ward, you got this one in a bag
To add to that as much as Ward is green he is an amateur champ, undefeated since his teens and a complete, formless and slick US Boxer.

There's been only one other fighter that Kessler has fought that bears just as much hunger if not more and who has sustained a long undefeated record to that of Ward and that's Calzaghe.

I'm sensing two outcomes of the fight - a knockout or a unanimous decision. If Kessler can't KO Ward, then Andre wins.

I'm sensing we're on the brink of a huge upset.

I agree. Two both hungry fighters, for different yet just as much similar reasons.

The boxer versus a KO artist.

        Youth versus experience.

        Power versus speed.

        Slick versus solid.

Olympic medalist vs Supermiddle weight champ

This is exciting. Two opposite spectrums in boxing meeting in one ring. By far the best fight so far to come of the tourney.

A lot of people don't understand what they're missing out on. Just as much as I want a Mayweather vs Pacquiao fight, I'm a boxing fan first and foremost, who wants to see a 'good fight' from any fighter - Kessler vs Ward is one of them and that's what I'm only concerned about this one right now.

As much as I want Ward to win, I do wish the best to Kessler after his second loss. His nobility in and out of the ring receives much of my respect as it does many of you.

ward is a great prospect but the pros is totally different to the amatuer ranks

kessler is an elite huge super middleweight who did damage is hand in preparatopm for calzaghe!!!

so in a way he is so highly rated and defined for is game and great performance against calzaghe

kessler can box and is very accurate and he also possesses an excellent jab which could hinder wards speed advantage

i think this will be fought between a green pro fighter and an established very fresh experienced boxer in kessler

i see kessler winning by tko, i just the jab straight right hurting ward!!

I agree with you but 'amateur' experience does have huge effect on the way you perform in pro fighting. If you continue fighting as an amateur in the pro 'game' you won't last long, however, if you adapt, which I've seen Ward do and use those 'amatuer' skills wisely then you can become great i.e RJJ and Mayweather.

That's understandable but hurting your hand in a fight is just as similar to other handicaps such receiving a headbutt and continuing to fight with a cut eye, receiving a point deduction or being knocked down. I don't think some would view you as great champion for continuing to fight with a hurt hand, tell me if I'm wrong but when have you heard of a fighter quitting because his hand was broken eh?!

I totally agree with you - Kesslers accuracy and jab are 'second to none', which could definitely pose problems for Ward. His tendancy to quiver on the backfoot is something that can be exploited by Ward. How will he cope with Andres formlessness and ability to adabt too? He struggled massively with the varying style of Calzaghe.

I see a unaminous decision by Ward. His will is too strong to bend to the power of Kessler.

i dont think kessler struggled against calzaghe, calzaghe has an unique style which you cant prepare for!!!

also kessler damaged is right hand in preparation for the calzaghe fight which limited is ablity to be able to spar etc etc

not an excuse but its justified that maybe he was not at is best or 100% best

also kessler was very tight for that fight but i thought he showed great heart in that fight

ward has had alot of amateur fights so the guy is experienced and is on quite a win streak but i just think kessler can time is speed with the jab and straight right i do believe ward wont be a push over but i do think if kessler catches him, he can hurt him badly!!!

ward has not showed a chin as durable as calzaghe (maybe he has not had the chance yet)

i have kessler winning by TKO or ud i think he can control this fight mainly with is jab

              be an exciting fight anyway

I wouldn't call Kessler a KO artist, but he does have the edge in power.

As for speed Ward has the edge, but not by as much as some here think.

Ward is good at creating angles which might give Kessler a lot of trouble. Calzaghe did that with success and Ward has learned that lesson for sure.

What we don't know is how Ward will deal with the piston-like jab of Mikkel Kessler and the straight right hand that doesn't look like Mirandas telegraphed shots at all yet still carry the power of the Pantera.

                Exiting? Damn right.

As for the Calzaghe fight Kessler was injured in his right hand. That prevented him from sparring before the fight. He had it surgically repaired afterwards and he now has a very long scar the lenght of his hand.

Yeah I see where your coming from - he has power in both fists.

Speed not only in his hands but footwork and body movement.

I agree with you there - Kessler fires jabs with a lot more venom, acceleration and accuracy.

Ward is nowhere near Calzaghe's level.
