Or maybe he just need that international experience. Maybe he was not good enough to turn pro at age 18. Could that be it?

No, but that doesn't mean they are the same size.
So you are telling me Duran and Barkley were both the same size?
You gotta be kidding me.. Manny may be competing at the weight now but
no way does that mean that he is a welterweight like Shane Mosley and Miguel Cotto are.
You gotta give the guy credit for being a much smaller man and competing in a much bigger division.

ahaha, so he is good enough for the olympics but not good enough to compete as a pro...

more like he had his own dreams of winning a gold medal.... as you would if you were him at 18, he didnt need to money unlike pac

same here, and who is the one that got ko'd twice and the excuse for that was weight draining .... obviously pac was naturally that small
If we do a side by side comparison by age of Mayweather and Pacquiao's size up until about last year.. PACQUIAO HAS ALWAYS BEEN THE SMALLER MAN.. FACT.
And don't try to come in here and say that a man in his 30s is still "maturing"

no but you were using examples of him in his early 20's, and who do you know that is the same size at 30 that they were at 20 ..... virtually no one

Oscar is welterweight who got lazy.
Look at Mosley, He's managed to stay at the weight.
Mayweather and Oscar, aren't that far apart size. They both started out in the same divisions and moved up just about the same. I give him credit for fighting De La Hoya at a bigger weight but it's not like it was a prime De La Hoya..
If he would've did that he would be getting hella praise.

It still don't mean he is a legitimate weltweight. what welterweight comes in at 143-144 pounds wearing shoes? Mayweather couldn't even squeese down to 145. & they (Manny's team) bulked him up to fight at welterweight. Dude right now is a jr. welter at best...
The only thing keeping him competing in the welterweight division is him being that damn good.
