I will be surprised if Pacquiao actually takes this fight. It looks more like he is trying to price himself out. He has avoided the best athletes in the sport for his whole career. Why would he change now?

But maybe Pacquiao is starting to believe his own hype and wants to fight. IF that's true, then what a perfect set-up this is for Floyd. The hype balloon can't get any bigger, and Floyd will get to pop it in front of the whole world just like Holmes did to Cooney.

WTF...their not the one's balking at 50-50...Pacquiao actually fought Cotto. Mayweather's camp are full of contradictions.

"The numbers are great for the sport of boxing but he had a legitimate dance partner,” Ellerbe said. “Cotto is a very good fighter who's had a lot of visibility on pay-per-view, against (Antonio) Margarito, against (Zab) Judah, against Mosley, against Pacquiao."

When Cotto was undefeated and was on fire:

"'Ellerbe criticized Cotto's HBO and pay-per-view ratings, and said the Puerto Rican is not fiscally or historically appealing enough.'

'It has nothing to do with Cotto's ability or talent, because I happen to believe he's a very good fighter,' Ellerbe said. 'I just don't think he brings enough to the table. Right now, he's not a draw in boxing. Outside of the hardcore press, nobody cares. If nobody's watching, what makes the guy important?'"

He's a dance partner for Pacquiao but he's not good enough for Floyd?

50/50 is right. Look for Floyd and Ellerbe to use this an excuse not to fight Pac..
Tougher Comp, for who? Floyd pretty much disposed of a heavyweight problem that has plagued Pac for 4 going on 5 yrs. Marquez gets kd'd, gets up, and starts smacking Manny up whenever they fight. Just because Manny performed well against Cotto, and Marquez did nothing with Mayweather, doesn't mean Pac vs. Marquez wouldn't be very competitive and or a possible L for Pac. Just because Floyd can make 'easy work' of fighters doesn't mean he should be penalized for it. Besides that, Pac fought the same competition as Floyd after PBF already 'popped that cherry'. What? Look at the avatar, Pac doesn't smile like that when he's facing JMM. I don't think Pac'll ever get that chance to have that look of satisfaction on his face when fighting JMM.

A Marquez chased Pacquiao, even going after Mayweather to get it. Question, has Pac even beaten JMM, yet? It didn't take PBF a 1/2 decade to get a controversial sd, did it? So which fight was more difficult again? Riiiiight.

Your comparing Pacquiao fighting a welter in Cotto to a welter in Floyd fighting at his best a natural lightweight?

                    Pacquiao TKO DLH
                    Pacquiao KO Hatton 2

Fact: Pacquiao fought Cotto, you can't honestly tell me you can't read between the lines in these statements by Ellerbe:

I will say this. If Floyd's camp plays too much hardball and pisses off Greenburg, Floyd and Company might get shipped off to Showtime.
