When Cotto has stepped up to the 'P4P' guys, he has won once and lost twice. That Mosley fight was close IMO, and it wasn't even the best version of Mosley either.

Cotto's legit, but he's not as good as a lot of people on here make him out to be.

Cotto was really hurt badly by Margarito. He was going to put on his best fight ever and I'm sure he would've gone 12 rounds with ease, but Margarito cheated and the rest is history. He fought a tune-up fight to recover and then Fought Clottey who should have been much easier to beat than Mosley, but he started getting bruise too easily unlike when he fought Mosley. After Margarito everything change and he started swollen very fast. He needed another tune-up, but still Cotto lost to the greatest fighter in the sport and was able to do to Pac what Hatton, De La Hoya and D. Diaz fail to do. He just vulnerable to punches now.

I believe that if Pac starts having the kind of battles Cotto had he would be easily a shot fighter to. I mean Margarito is tough and Mosley beat him. Cotto fought Both of them and then Clottey and much before Judah. Too many strong battles compare to Pac. If you have Pac fight a plaster Margarito, a Mosley a Clottey he might not be as strong. Look what Cotto did to him. Mosley, Clottey and Margarito would've done the same damage and you know they'll likely be fighting twelve rounds. This weight is where the power is and if Pac beats them all I'll be shocked.

Pacquiao admitted Cotto hit hard as **** but wasn't trying to show Cotto any signs of it (i.e. Ring smarts). Cotto made mistakes in the fight, but sayin he's done is just ****** man. Only people who've been following Boxing for a couple years would say that.

How many people said Mosley was done after losing to Vernon Forrest and Winky Wright? RIP Vernon, but look where Shane is now and look where Winky is now. Give it some time, Cotto's going to fight again.

...you can't compare Mosley and Wright to Cotto...those 2 can take a punch, Cotto can't...sure they both have slowed down a bit but still they can take a punch...Cotto never had a chin and as they say in another sport, "he done went to the well too many times"...

Yeah. Berto vs. Cotto would have been a little bit more to gain. That would have made Mosley free to fight Paco. Arnum was probably doin some shifty dealings to keep those two separate until Mayweather...while making the most money. Cotto suffered because of that.

The point I'm trying to make is people write off fighters way too quick these days. The example I made of Mosley is he was regarded as the #1 P4P fighter at one point, took a detour in his career, then came back and has had some very notable wins and is currently the recognized WW champ.

Cotto's taken some heavy shots, but I don't think he's done as a fighter completely. He's a durable fighter and will fight a few more years.

Wright is really just a bigger man. And Mosley although strong hasn't had a real fight since Cotto. Margarito failed to bring his plaster. Collazo is not a hard puncher and Vargas and Mayorga were both destroyed first by Trinidad and De La Hoya. When you get beat up once its no problem for someone to do it again. Thats what happen to Cotto vs Plasterito and thats what happen to Mayorga and Vargas. So you can't say Cotto has a weak chin when he isn't fighting weak competition. Some other fighters just look stronger than they are cause of there defense, speed and the caliber of there opponents. Not even Winky Wright is much of a puncher.
