It is tradition that the one doing the calling out makes the concessions to make the fight happen. For the past 2 weeks, Floyd has been clamoring for this fight to happen.

Just like Hatton went up from 140 to 147 LBS and the smaller purse to fight Floyd because he called Floyd out, just like Marquez went up from 135 to 144 and the smaller purse to fight Mayweather (regardless of the fact that Floyd declined to go down to 144 at the last minute) because he called him out, Floyd should should make the concessions to make this fight happen.

I'm sure fans of him don't have a problem with this as this has been a normal negotiation method utilized by Floyd and defended by his followers.

This fight has to happen.. 50-50 split and winner should get more money.. But you know how Floyd is.. Always wanting the bigger purse.

The fight's definitely gonna happen. This media negotiation is the tip of the iceburg compared to everything going on behind the scenes.

Mayweather is still a boxer and not a promoter or accountant at the end of the day, same with Pacquiao (or should I say Roach) - they're just giving it all the bravado, trying to angle an advantage while all the real number crushing is happening without their involvement.

I'm fairly certain the final purse split will favour Mayweather for what it's worth; it makes no sense for Pacquiao to earn more in this one.

I also forgot about the pathetic catchweight business

            50/50 @ 147 is the best solution

                Jeez give it some time...

They need a venue....weight..its alot more that needs to be done..they both said they want the fight..now its time to work out the contract.

If its not 50/50 this fight will not happen..and if its not at 147 this fight will not happen.

Your views are unrealistic. It takes two to make a fight and both fighters bring something to the table. You can't blame Mayweather for not going along with Arum or Roach implementing ridiculous catch weights and other stipulations. They both are going to have to compromise to make it happen. Those past fights you listed are irrelevant when it comes to this fight.
