I was in a boxing match in Whippany, NJ last night for a 7 card fight night in Marriott Hotel. Fotunately my gym mate Wendy Lamotta 2-0-0 (122 lbs) won the match.
The night is just supposed to be an ordinary night for boxing fans and boxers. Until someone who sat infront of me made it a special extraordinary night.
THe man was tlking loud enough that I could hear him clearly. Then something struck my mind. His voice is so familiar...... I heard it from somewhere..... Oh YEAH that famous "OKAY JIM" sharp voice. well I thought it was just somebody who has the samevoice until I walked in front of him to see that it is indeed HIM! MR. HAROLD LEDERMAN HIMSELF!!! I got so anxious that I shook his hands and I told him. "Mr. Lederman It's my pleasure meeting you" HE shook my hands and he smiled at me. He asked me are you a boxer? And I told him "yes" he said I hope to be on ringside someday in one of your (future) fights. I just told him "BY ALL MEANS"
Another man I met was the referee in the Tyson-Lewis fight. It was an incredible night after that meeting with mt Lederman and If you can read this Sir Lederman.... "ITS NICE SEEING YOU"!
