Pacquiao fans are clearly upset at these #'s, these PPV returns without a doubt puts Floyd in the drivers seat. I learned back in 2001 that you never bet against Mayweather. It's ironic and funny, they said Mayweather-Marquez wouldn't sell and it shattered expectations, they said Pac-Cotto would break records and it came in significantly lower than predicted. What it all means is that any popular fighter vs Mayweather is a finacially more rewarding, Floyd, like it or not, is the draw.

If the Belt is put up and the maximum weight is 147 then the fight should be 50-50.

oh here we go again.. of course roach sees that mayweather isn't the same fighter anymore, he's no longer in his prime so he wants the fight to happen.

it wont matter, prime or no prime may should beat manny

50/50 lets get the fight signed

Pacquaio did pull 1.25 million with Cotto, but that doesn't necessarily mean that he deserves more of the purse against Floyd in my opinion.
Somebody on an earlier post made mention of the FACT that when Jr fought DLH the economy was ok, same with Jr vs Hatton, but when Pacmang fought those guys and especially Cotto the economy is terrible yet while both Pac vs Cotto and Jr. vs JMM were held close to the same time , PAC WON OUT !!!!!!!!

So if you are going by numbers you have to be fair with the economy and the times or are you one of those like many here are that they would take like Jack Dempseys fights and compare purses with someone's today to get an advantage, LOL shorly not, that was an extreme example.

The best assessment is to compare the last two fights. Pac vs Cotto their buys vs Jr vs JMM and their buys.

WE HAVE A WINNER FOLKS, PACMANG !!!!!!!!!

Pacmang should get the biggest part of the prize, I hope he settles at least for 50 50 to get the fight so we can see Roger the QUITTER Mayweather take a dump in his pants when he see's how wrong he has been about Pacmang cause Jr, won't come out for the 11th round sitting on his stool with his head hangin down. It will bring back memorys of when ROGER QUIT ON his stool. I did tell yall bout that shorly I did ???? LOL

            LISTEN: ATTENTION :::

Pac's been gametested in grueling fights , proven himself.

May Jr. Has NOT been gametested but Pacamang will test that ass and I say based on his actions , mindset , his mouth, the only place he is lacking is in his HEART ! He's got all the skills, I DON"T THINK HE HAS THE BALLS TO BACK IT UP !!!!!!!!!! Can't wait to find out !!

I relish this fight, gonna be gooooooooooooooood !!!!

Wow, Floyd retires for 12+ months and now the Pac lovers say his skills have eroded? They also say Pac is the top draw, wow. Review the PPV #'s carefully before you discount Floyd's appeal. I am hopeful that a 50/50 deal is struck so this will move forward. It will be interesting to hear Freddie after Floyd wins, more interesting to hear the various excuses/hatred from Pac fans. I respect and appreciate pac as a fighter, but think Floyd is will showcase his talents and silence his critics, but not once and for all....

I think it is hilarious the way Freddie Roach has gone from 'we want a 60/40 split or we will look at other options' to '50-50 gets it done.' He might have gotten 50-50 if the Cotto numbers had been 1.6 million as Roach and Arum "expected", but now Pacquaio will be lucky to get a 45-55 split. He can turn it down and fight Marquez for 65 percent of the money, but he will still make less than he would taking the 45 percent against Mayweather.

Mayweather-Marquez did 1 million ppv buys in the U.S. Both fighters are the most popular in their U.S. demographic, which are Americans and Mexicans!! And those are the TWO BIGGEST DEMOGRAPHICS in the country!!

Pacquiao-Cotto did 1.25 million ppv buys in the U.S. Neither fighter is American or represent the biggest demographic in the U.S.!!

If two foreigners, a Filipino and a Puerto Rican can OUT-PERFORM the currently most popular American and the currently most popular Mexican in the sport, THEN IT'S OBVIOUS WHO THE DRAW IS!!!

AND....most people that bought the Mayweather-Marquez fight found the fight boring!!! Even though the event had quality undercards, PEOPLE STILL WANTED THEIR MONEY BACK!!! HOWEVER, EVERY SINGLE BUYER OF THE PACQUIAO-COTTO FIGHT WAS MORE THAN SATISFIED. They got value for their money....and they even have to suffer through a pathetic undercard!!
you got it right on adp but biasedness and favoritism blinds them
