Please, the topic is: "Arum expected 1.6 to 2 MM buys. Anything lower is a failure."
I then stated that if they sold 1,5(we can say 1,575 which is 1,5x1,05) , which is less then 1,6, they'd still do 50% better then Mayweather. If that's a failure, well, then Mayweathers 1,05 would have been a mega-failure.
So I knew what I was posting about, even though I hadn't seen the HBO figure before posting. My post is still valid now, and it would have been if they sold 0,5, 2 or 25 million aswell.Comment

Bob Arum and Freddie Roach have gone on the record repeatedly to say that they expected (not "hoped", expected) for Firepower to do at least 1.6 million PPV buys. In several published interviews, Arum said that he expected to sell a record. Mark Taffet said that he expected a huuge record because HBO invested a lot of marketing money.
Posters here have even made threads about the 1.6 million plus. There was a poll where most NSB posters expected Firepower to sell over 1.5 million.
There is only one way to look at something that falls far short of expectations. A disappointment. A failure. So, we all hope that when HBO releases the numbers, that they are in line with expectations and that they come in at the expected 1.6 to 2 million PPV buys.
If the sales are below 1.6 million, the fight was a failure.Comment
