BOB ARUM. Floyd left him before the bout was ever made. Arum wasn't going to set it up until Cotto was ready...down the line. When Floyd left Arum, that was a wrap. Doing business together was never going to be easy. To much ego and to much bad blood.

Ah, big time gap. It takes time to build popularity or don't you know?

Cotto got to fight Judah...boost in NY popularity...and then Shane...boost through the boxing World/Country.

Floyd became bigger when he fought Gatti.

But, when Larry Merchant asked him about Cotto. Floyd answer was I will retire from boxing, I won't let boxing retire me. This was after Cotto fought Judah and Mosley...

You fight the popular names and impress and you became the one that people want to see...agree.

Floyd's draw is to see him get beat. It works though.

People seem to really enjoy trying to discredit boxers they don't like.

It's basically saying to Merchant to **** off...I don't talk about who I'm going to fight with you...especially and Arum fighter. I'm in control of my own career and I'm not a puppet for all of you to tell me what to do.

Arum was only willing to risk Margarito because he needed Margarito to get a big name fight.

The only guy that Roger Mayweather actually noted that he would be concerned with a fight with was Paul Williams...for good reason.

With Paul, to high of a risk with low reward. Shame the way boxing business is.
