Are Catch Weight Fights destroying fighters and giving unfair advantages?

I feel these non existent weight limits should not be entertained nor tolerated by the governing bodies.

Depends, were not in the boxers shoes. We don't know how much weight affects them or not. Alot of boxers have so much pride they won't admit that weight bothers them. Like Cotto, he is not a poor-sport so he won't just point to the weight as a factor. He is the complete opposite of Oscar De La ****. Cotto is much more respectable as a fighter and a person.

catchweights are lame..if you want to fight for another belt..or fight another fighter that will add to your resume, you need to fight at the established weight classes..this will challenge fighters more..fighters back then didn't have half the weight classes there are now!!!!!!!!

stop whinning... godaym when has pacquiao asked for a catchweight other than cotto. last time I check cotto asked for the 145, he could have simply said no but he chose to because he knows he can make it. Stop making excuses

sometimes catchweights are great, other times they are pointless. This thread is too general.

I'll say this - did the buying public care about the catchweight in Pac vs Cotto? Did they care in Marquez - Floyd? Nope.

No not at all. It has been going on for ever. I don't understand why people have a problem with it now? People are just making too much out of this.
