But I don't think Mayweather expected Pacquiao to defeat Cotto in a devastating fashion. We'll see if he actually signs the contract. Saying "absolutelY' to whether or not he would fight Pacquiao means nothing.

Seriously... either he's just hatin' in his usual way against Mayweather or he is more ****** then I thought he would be...

Big *lol* at Cotto would beat Mayweather. Arum probably wasn't watching the fight against Pacquiao... if he did, he should have seen what a guy with way more hand and footspeed does to Cotto. Cotto couldn't even hurt Pacquiao and he's supposed to be smaller then Mayweather.

An even bigger *lol* at Margarito... Mosley is a guy with handspeed. He's not famous for his footspeed neither his foot movement and you have seen what even the old Sugar Shane Mosley's feet did to Margarito... but I guess he couldn't watch the match either, after seeing how Mosley started to beat his fighters ass.

Mosley is one dimensional. He has great physical tools but he ain't that smart. Proven by his rematches. He can't just go one way and if it doesn't work he's lost.

Pacquiao bring him on... if you actually want to ruin his run... Pacquiao in the end will probably stand before Floyd in boxing history BUT he will never ever beat him. And that's not even being overconfident... that's already an fact... Pacquiao looked great in his last fights but he fough guys who couldn't match neither his hand or footspeed and had inferior timing. Mayweather has it all plus defensive knowledge... like said Pacquiao can defend against guys who are slower then him and don't have timing (Cotto had it to a degree and he landed here and there)... Mayweather easy UD or even Knockout... Manny makes to many mistakes and still looses his head and can easily walk right into a fast fist.

So Mr. Arum boxing shouldn't be your profession... probably you should start to make your hobby a business... but wait and psychology you suck ass too... stop talking, don't overhype your fighter in negotiations... and everybody gets their dream fight and you a lot of money

Why is everyone talking about Floyd overpricing himself, what about Pacmans 60-40 and 145lb requests. If Roach says no way to 147 and Floyd says *** off would that be floyd ducking pacman?

the money sitaution needs to be based on the ppv numbers... bottom line... i don't care if ******* is the most exciting fighter to watch right now and all u nut huggers jerk off to his picture every night... bottom line, its who is the bigger draw!!! mayweather is the bigger draw because a lot of you tools buy his fights just in hopes of him losing...

I'm not saying Mayweather is scared to fight Pacquiao. Because he definately has the skills do it and vice versa. But I think Arum was right about Mayweather not wanting to lose his Undefeated record. Thats his meal ticket. If he loses that, he will be exposed and he'll lose some of the reason why people watch him. People either wanna see if he can keep his undefeated record alive or they wanna see that one opponent who can finally put a dent on his record. As soon as he loses that 1st fight, he wont be as marketable because he does fight a boring fight. In Manny's case, win or lose, people will still watch him because they know he'll put on a show. So I think he's right about Mayweather wanting to keep that "0" on his lost record.

Blah Blah Blah. The fight is in jeopardy, the fight won't happen, both parties won't budge, they have new opponents lined up, yadi yadi yada, talks are back, the fight is close to being signed, announcement is made.

That's the formula for promoting big fights. Gets people talking but in the end, it's too big for it not to happen. There must a RIDICULOUSLY huge amount of money available for both fighter to agree for a 50-50 split, so in the end the fight will happen.

If there's one thing Floyd likes more than his undefeated record, it's the money he'll be making.
