What's the real reason Cotto doesn't want a rematch with Margarito??

Do you really think Cotto is telling it like it is when he says that Margarito doesn't deserve another payday and that's why he's not fighting him...or do you think he is using that as an excuse??

    Lets hear it people!

Would you give a cheater a rematch who potentially ruined your career? I think Cotto lost something in that fight, he didn't look the same to me personally. And I've been saying that before the Jennings, Clottey, and Pacquiao fight. Old accounts godofwar, godofwarII, AchLlles, jayfelice.

Yes I certanly would.. I would want to get my revenge and prove to myself that I lost of the padded gloves and not because he was a better fighter than me.

I think Cotto knows whats up though and he's trying to avoid another tremendous beating and humiliation.

If he was a real fighter and lived up to his public image (which he worked so hard for), he would take the fight and prove to Margarito, himself , and his fans that he's the better fighter.

And if he does beat Margarito, imagine how humiliated Margarito will be. He will have no more face in the boxing world. Right now there's still some doubt that he won that fight because he was a better fighter than Cotto, and this is where Cotto needs to come in and put those assumptions to sleep.

It's probably a mixture of both.

He is probably pissed that he cheated(what Cotto thinks, not me), and he also probably knows it's a bad style match up.

I'm a big Cotto fan, but I can't help but feel he still has demons from that past fight. I don't know though.

Just plain fear. Tony took his heart and chin.

If Cotto was confident and knew he could win, why not avenge a loss? HBO will be in the locker room taping Tony getting his hands wrapped, so it would be crystal clear the first time was no fluke.

                Cotto's just miedoso.

Cotto agreed to give Margarito a rematch before the Mosley fight and It did not happen because Margarito got suspended! Cotto ended up fighting Clottey.

If I felt I was cheated,

yes, thats the absolute first thing I'd want to do.

Avenge that loss that used to carry so many questions.

Since Saturday night though, seeing as how Manny disfigured Cottos face worse than Tony,

it puts an end to that speculation. Cotto knows he just got beat down because he took so many punches. Cotto knows he just can't stand up to the monster Tony is to him.

Its a lose lose for Cotto.

When he gets beat down again,

there goes the excuse for the first fight, which is all he has to live on in regards to Margarito.
