Kessler vs Ward: Swedish Judge In, Cali Judge is Out

The drama is finally over. Mikkel Kessler will defend his WBA super middleweight title against Andre Ward on Saturday in Oakland at Oracle Arena. There was a cloud of doubt as to whether or not the title would be on the line because the WBA was refusing to sanction the bout, after a complaint from Kessler's side, because there weren't enough neutral officials appointed by the California State Athletic Commission. Too bad Höök can be bought. This is the same man that robbed Holyfield in the fight vs Valuev.

Valuev is with Sauerland, so is Kessler. Michael Hook robbed Holyfield and gave it to Valuev, not hard to see why he was their pick for a replacement judge.

And fuck him for robbing Holyfield.

Did anyone of you actually watch the Holyfield vs Valuev fight without your pom poms ?

It was not a robbery, it was a close fight, it was a close fight because they were so few punches thrown and landed just like the Haye fight.

I thought Holyfield won but some of you guys act like Holyfield did a Whitaker vs Haugen on Valuev and did not get the decision

Thank goodness for that. How all the Cali influence ended up in there for the Cali dude fighting in Cali by coincidence.....I don't know but at least the fight is still on.

So now somehow Kessler has tipped the judging in his favor by getting a crooked judge? Ive seen it all.

I actually did watch it a second time just recently, without bias, and still had it 118-110 for Holyfield. I'm not even a huge fan of the guy, but he clearly won that fight without any room to call it "close".

And I saw a fair few landed blows for Holyfled - very clean and much more than Haye landed, anyway. He also controlled the pace, moved around on his own accord, and defended well.
