Roach/Cotto vs Santiago/Pac Who Would Have Won!?

If the trainers were swapped do you think Cotto could have come out with the win? Do you really think it was a gameplan thing, or was Cotto just outclassed?

He was just outclassed. I don't think it would have changed the outcome as the turning point in the fight was Cotto losing composure momentarily and being caught by a monster punch - something that a trainer can't do **** about.

had roach been with cotto for the same amount of time pacquiao was,I have no doubt in my mind Cotto would have won.

(because Pacquiao would have never met roach and would not be as well rounded as he is today imo)

      no offence Pacquiao fans

Would Pacman be the same fighter if he wasn't with Roach? most certainly not.

Didn't look like Cotto had a good game plan and Roach always masters a game plan for Manny.

I really don't know about this...

I mean a part of me says that Cotto was just outclassed by a legend.

The other part is tells me that Cotto could be great if he had a good trainer.

I mean before the fight I had Pac winning by a UD or Cotto controlling the fight with the jab sort of like in the first round. Boooy I got that **** wrong!

            cotto was just outclassed...

roach said if roach was training cotto against pac, cotto would still lose.

pac is a machine and can fight for 12 rounds. cotto is a 6 round fighter.

if cotto got a real trainer, it would definitely help, but he still wouldn't be able to beat pac

One of the many reasons JMM beats him badly.

I really think Cotto can do 12 rounds. I just think he had the wrong gameplan, and he needs to stop that bad habit...you know dropping his left. There is no resetting, or resting if that's what he was doing, when fighting Pac.

cotto can't fight 12 rounds all out... he can do 6 rounds hard then the last 6 he has to run... if you can pressure him, late you can beat him, but with a better trainer who will study the opponent and train cotto to take advantage of the habits of his opponents, cotto would do much better because he'd have broken down his opponents already.
